Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Family Medical Practice welcomes Dr. Mark Siefring M.D. M.S. (Virology) American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mark has been a part of the medical community of HCMC for the last 4 years, with experience in serving both the International community and the citizens of Vietnam, who have entrusted him with their healthcare. He now joins the Family Medical Practice HCMC. Dr. Mark is an American physician, board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He received training at the Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Medical Center. Dr. Mark also has a Master’s Degree in Molecular Virology where his research focus was on Influenza (including Avian Influenza/Bird Flu—H7 Subtype). This background has been indispensable in giving advice to patients on the recent concerns about Influenza. Dr. Mark has additional experience in Community Emergency Medicine accompanied by certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He has experience in Blood Banking, and in Suicide and Crisis Counseling. Travel Health and Medicine is a field that has come with practice in Vietnam for last 4 years. He enjoys reading the History of Nations and Empires, of World War I, and biographies. He loves the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, and here in Vietnam that of Tran Manh Tuan, and Trinh Cong Son |
