Dear Dr Helen C Ng

I am pleased to tell you that my husband David and I are now back at home and I am feeling well. As you may have heard, after you took me to the French Hospital, I was kept in overnight last Sunday and was eventually discharged last Monday afternoon at around 1700 hrs. My BP had reduced to near normal by then and the cardiology checks showed that there was no apparent heart problem. On Tuesday and through Wednesday I rested with only short walks and we flew Hanoi to Bangkok (transfer only) on Wednesday evening and onward to London arriving early morning Thursday. I am glad to report I have not had any further nose bleeds!!

I am extremely grateful to you and your colleagues for the prompt assistance that you gave me and for arranging the ambulance transfer and coming with me to the hospital, all of which also relieved my husband's anxieties. The care given by the staff at the French Hospital was also very good and I will e-mail them separately to express my appreciation.

Today I have seen my own doctor and I am to have 24 hr monitoring of my BP done in 10 days time, allowing a week or more from the stopping of the medication (AMLOR) that I was prescribed at the French Hospital, and also I am to have blood tests.

We again express our thanks for your response and care and we wish you well.
