Biography
Dr. Yami Shapira is a highly experienced physician specializing in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Hebrew University of Jerusalem Medical School. Following this, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Hadassah University Hospital, and subsequently pursued advanced training in Gastroenterology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (TASMC).
Since completing his gastroenterology and hepatology residency in 2010, Dr. Yami has excelled as a leading consultant and endoscopist in a tertiary university hospital, managing complex medical and surgical cases. He also maintains a strong connection to community-based gastroenterology, addressing common digestive issues, liver diseases, and focusing on cancer screening and prevention.
Dr. Yami has actively participated in both basic and clinical research studies and has been a highly regarded clinical instructor for medical students.
Born and raised in Israel, Dr. Yami is fluent in English and Hebrew and is currently learning Vietnamese.
