Family Medical Practice is proud to announce that it will launch the first ever privately run Emergency Medical Response Centre (EMRC) in Vietnam. The EMRC will enable the community to receive emergency medical response from a centralized international standard Emergency Response Center that will be operating 24/7.

In order to establish the modern and most advanced emergency center, Family Medical Practice partnered with an American company called Priority Dispatch, a world leading enterprise in Emergency Dispatch technologies and with the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) a non-profit standard-setting organization promoting safe and effective emergency dispatch services world-wide. FMP recruited 8 designated Vietnamese staff that will join a team from FMP to become the first ever certified Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD) in Vietnam.

This project will advance Vietnam to the next level of emergency response services and by training local team as certified EMD’s, Vietnam will join a community of 53 countries that are successfully cooperating with IAED saving people life’s every day. The project will include a 4-month comprehensive training programs led by world leading experts from the IAED, anInstallation of modern systems & state of the art technologies in a world class Emergency response center, full synchronization with a modern ambulance fleet managed by a command & control system, all backed by a team of certified supervisors with years of experience in the medical filed. The project will insure the best possible support and effective response time for whoever happened to need help in an emergency situation.
Family Medical Practice completed the first Emergency Medical Dispatcher accredited training course. The aim of the course is to train emergency call takers to be able to handle and manage emergency calls in line with International best practice standards.

Mr. Gary Galasso, Deputy Fire Chief Retired at San Jose Fire Dept., CA and an IAED, Fire Council of Standards Member who was the trainer for this course said “I am truly honored to deliver this life-saving training to these motivated and professional emergency telecommunicators.  They will be the first in the country to administer the Medical Priority Dispatch System to callers in need."
