Việt Nam to begin inoculating children and youth against COVID-19

As per a recent article posted in Vietnam News, The Ministry of Health will begin vaccinating children and youth between the ages of 12 and 17 against COVID-19 later this month, before expanding the vaccination program to younger age groups, Deputy Health Minister Trần Văn Thuấn said on Saturday.

Currently, only the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for administration in children, and a large supply of the Pfizer vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Việt Nam in the near future. Out of its order of 51 million doses, slated for arrival mostly this quarter, 20 million doses have been reserved for the 12 to 17 age bracket.
