Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a technique used to detect early abnormal changes in the colon (large intestine). This method helps patients with diagnosis of lesions in the colon lining as well as assess the risk of cancer.

Colonoscopy procedures are performed for:

• Changes in bowel habits (chronic constipation or diarrhea)
• Polyps or growths in the colon
